The
Dhana Yogas are by far the most important money indicators, but here are some
more that you can augment your analysis with. Most of these are from Dr. K. S. Charak's
excellent book Yogas
in Astrology. I highly recommend you get yourself a copy.
As you
look at these, remember that planetary combinations of all kinds can play a
role in refining the indications. Most are fairly intuitive based on what we
already know about the planets and their houses (as listed in section 2.2), but
some of these combinations have very specific indications that you might not
suspect, but which Dr. Charak lists in his book.
Just a
few examples of these are:
¨ Sun and Moon in the 1H - poor
¨ Sun and Moon in the 9H -
wealthy
¨ Sun and Saturn in the 4H -
poor
¨ Sun and Saturn in the 9H
- wealthy
2.3 More good money yogas
These are very cryptic summaries so
as always be sure to consider important factors such as those mentioned in
section 2.2 under "Positive or Negative Indications".

planet (natural benefic or malefic) associated with or aspected by the Lord of
the 5th house AND the Lord of the 9th house will be beneficial.

wealth indicators.)
o Jupiter: Hamsa (material comforts)

o Saturn: Shasha (wealth)
¨
Some of
the Nabhasa Yogas
According
to Dr. Charak, Nabhasa yogas (how the planets are grouped in a chart) are often
overlooked but play an important role by shedding much light on the inherent
promise of a horoscope. Here are a few that are considered positive indicators
with regard to wealth.
o Aashraya

difficult with regard to wealth (showing little or no wealth or a loss of
wealth).
¨
Chandra

o Kemadruma - No planet in the 2nd or 12th
house from the Moon (Sun is an exception). Note

2.5 Lifelong vs. Temporary Influences
The fructification of most yogas is
dependent on their planetary periods (dasas), but there are some that will show
their effects throughout one's life.
These are:
¨
A
predominance of either benefic yogas or adverse yogas will have an overall
effect, regardless of the current dasa.
¨
The
strength of the lagna will have a lifelong effect. You need a strong lagna even
for the all-important Dhana Yogas (section 2.1.2) to manifest significantly.
¨
Mahapurusha
Yogas have a lifelong effect.
¨
Nabhasa
Yogas have a lifelong effect.
Again, if you'd like more detail
about any of these yogas, I highly recommend you consult Dr. Charak's book Yogas
in Astrology. He goes into great detail enumerating other factors
related to these yogas that you may want to consider before drawing any
conclusions. As I mentioned toward the beginning of this article, some of these
are counter-intuitive so it's helpful to check into the details.
In the next article, we'll discuss
house, sign, and nakshatra placement of the relevant money yogas.
Until then, remember you can always
leave comments or questions for me on the Financial Tutorial
page at my site. I will respond.
Namasté.
